Talkwalker vs Sprinklr pricing and social listening features compared

The short answer

Talkwalker and Sprinklr both sell enterprise social listening without a public price. Talkwalker's pricing page lists three tiers, Core, Analyze and Business, each with unlimited users and a custom quote, and Hootsuite has owned the company since an acquisition announced on April 8, 2024. Sprinklr has no pricing page at all (sprinklr.com/pricing returns a 404), and Vendr records a median Sprinklr contract of $127,490 a year across 20 purchases; Talkwalker has too few recorded purchases for a reliable median. Buy Talkwalker for listening and media analytics in 187 languages, Sprinklr when listening has to share one platform with customer care and publishing, and neither when the real job is fast alerts on news and Reddit mentions.

Most pages that rank for Talkwalker vs Sprinklr are review directories showing star ratings side by side, plus one comparison written by a third vendor. None of them can tell you what either product costs, because neither company prints a number. Talkwalker asks you to pick a tier and request a quote. Sprinklr does not have a pricing page at all. So the useful comparison is about what each company actually sells, how each one builds a quote, and what buyers have signed for where that data exists.

The two products are less alike than the shortlist suggests. Talkwalker is a listening and media analytics engine, sold on its own and, since Hootsuite bought it, inside Hootsuite plans under the name Lumen by Talkwalker. Sprinklr is a customer experience management company, and listening is one product (Sprinklr Insights) next to Service, Social and Marketing. A Talkwalker deal is usually signed by an insights, comms or social team. A Sprinklr deal is usually signed by a CX or digital leader who wants one vendor across every customer channel, and that difference drives most of the cost gap.

Why it works

Three things that decide this comparison

Neither one prints a price

Talkwalker's page says "Pick your plan to get a custom quote" and lists Core, Analyze and Business. Sprinklr's /pricing path returns a 404. The only sourced dollar figure is Vendr contract data for Sprinklr ($127,490 median, 20 purchases). Talkwalker's recorded sample is too thin to quote.

A listening engine against a CX suite

Talkwalker sells listening and media analytics, with tiers that scale by non-sampled results volume, topics and history. Sprinklr sells Insights as one of four suites, so a Sprinklr contract often carries care agents and publishing seats on the same order form.

Ownership changes the renewal

Hootsuite owns Talkwalker, so expect a renewal conversation that includes Hootsuite seats and the lighter Lumen engine inside Hootsuite plans. Sprinklr is independent and listed on the NYSE as CXM, and its renewals usually grow by adding channels and suites.

Talkwalker vs Sprinklr on quote structure, coverage and where listening lives

Talkwalker was read from talkwalker.com/pricing and Sprinklr from sprinklr.com (the /pricing path and the Sprinklr Insights product page) on October 9, 2026. Contract figures come from Vendr, which aggregates private SaaS purchases, and are quoted with sample size. Vendor coverage figures are the vendors' own claims. Nothing here is estimated.

Start with the pricing pages, because they say different things.

Talkwalker's page has a real structure even without numbers. Core is the always-on listening and media monitoring product, with topic and channel analytics, custom dashboards, reports and alerts, plus AI layers for peak detection, forecasting and summaries. Analyze, marked most popular, doubles Core's non-sampled results volume and adds 25 topics, filters and channels. Business gives six times the Core volume, three times the topics, additional historical data and more workspaces with governance. Every tier includes unlimited users. The page claims 150 million sources, 30+ social platforms, 187 languages and 196 countries, and every button leads to a demo request.

Sprinklr publishes less. There is no pricing page, and the Sprinklr Insights product page ends in a demo request. It describes listening across 30+ social and digital channels, 400K+ media sources and 1B+ websites and review sites, with sentiment and emotion analysis across text, video, audio and images and the option to ingest your own data. Vendr's 20 recorded Sprinklr purchases have a median of $127,490 a year and a range of $28,800 to $482,884. That range is the point: Sprinklr is priced by suite, channel and seat, so two companies with the same listening need can sign very different numbers depending on how much of the platform rides along.

Is Talkwalker better than Sprinklr?

For listening on its own, usually yes. Talkwalker is built around listening and media analytics, quotes tiers by data volume and topics, and gives every tier unlimited users, so a comms or insights team gets more listening per dollar of scope. Sprinklr is the better buy when listening has to live on the same platform as customer care and publishing across many teams.

Most shortlists that put these two together are really choosing between a listening tool and a customer experience suite. Decide which department owns the budget first, and the answer usually follows.

How much does Sprinklr cost compared to Talkwalker?

Neither publishes a figure. Vendr records a median Sprinklr contract of $127,490 a year across 20 purchases, with a range from $28,800 to $482,884. Vendr has too few Talkwalker purchases for a median that means anything, so any single Talkwalker figure you see on a directory is a guess.

What you can compare is how each quote is built. Talkwalker scales by non-sampled results volume, topics and history across Core, Analyze and Business. Sprinklr scales by suites, channels and seats, which is why its range is so wide.

Does Talkwalker have a free trial?

No. The pricing page asks you to pick Core, Analyze or Business to get a custom quote, and every route ends in a demo request. Talkwalker does run free tools, including Talkwalker Alerts, but those are separate products and not a trial of the paid platform.

Sprinklr also has no self-serve trial. On larger deals it runs a proof of concept during the sales cycle instead.

Who owns Talkwalker now?

Hootsuite. The acquisition was announced on April 8, 2024, and the listening engine is now sold as Lumen by Talkwalker, both on its own and inside Hootsuite plans, where alerts and long history are reserved for Hootsuite Enterprise. Sprinklr is not part of either company; it is independent and trades on the New York Stock Exchange as CXM.

That matters at renewal. A Talkwalker account team can bundle Hootsuite seats, while a Sprinklr renewal usually grows by adding channels and suites.

What should I ask Talkwalker and Sprinklr before signing?

Ask Talkwalker which tier the quote is for, how many non-sampled results and topics it includes, how far back history reaches, and what happens when you exceed the volume. Ask Sprinklr which suites, channels and seats are in scope, whether Insights is priced separately from care and publishing, and what implementation services cost, since those are often a separate line.

Ask both for the year-two price in writing. Enterprise listening contracts often rise at renewal, and that is where the real gap between two quotes shows.

Which one fits a mid-market team?

Usually neither. Both expect a sales cycle and an annual contract, and both are scoped for organizations with a dedicated insights, comms or CX function. If the team mainly needs to hear about a news story, Reddit thread or podcast mention before it spreads, that is a monitoring job.

EyeOut is built for that buyer. It collects Google News, Reddit, Mastodon, Hacker News, Lemmy and Apple Podcasts every 30 minutes, reads sentiment on every mention, runs a crisis radar from Growth, and prints $39, $94, $249 and $499 a month billed yearly with seats included. It does not cover X, Instagram or TikTok, and it says so.

Good questions

Questions about talkwalker vs sprinklr

Only for the monitoring job. EyeOut does not run customer care, publish posts, monitor X, Instagram or TikTok, or hold a multi-year archive (Enterprise imports the past 12 months per keyword). If any of those is the requirement, buy the platform that has it. If the requirement is knowing quickly when written mentions of your brand change across news, Reddit, forums and podcasts, EyeOut does that from $39 a month with seats included, and Enterprise is $499 a month billed yearly with 25 seats and API access, bought online.
Because a Sprinklr contract usually covers more than listening. It is priced by suite, channel and seat, so a deal that includes care agents and publishing users alongside Insights lands far above a listening-only quote. For a listening-only scope the two quotes can be closer than Sprinklr's median suggests.
For monitoring, yes. Tools with published prices start well under $100 a month. EyeOut is $39, $94, $249 or $499 a month billed yearly with seats included and no sales call. The trade-off is scope: no image recognition, no social network coverage beyond the sources listed, no publishing and no customer care module.
