Sprinklr competitors: pricing, coverage and alternatives compared

The short answer

Sprinklr's competitors fall into three groups, and picking the wrong group is the most expensive mistake in this search. Full-suite rivals replace the whole unified platform across care, marketing and publishing. Enterprise listening rivals such as Brandwatch, Meltwater and Talkwalker replace only Sprinklr Insights. Focused monitoring tools such as EyeOut, Brand24 and Mentionlytics replace one module and publish a price you can read. That last distinction matters financially: Vendr puts the median Sprinklr contract at $127,490 a year, roughly two and a half times Brandwatch at $50,000 and about 180 times an entry monitoring subscription, and Sprinklr publishes no price anywhere. As of September 2, 2026 sprinklr.com/pricing still returns a 404.

Almost everyone searching for Sprinklr competitors is at one of two moments. Either a renewal is coming and the number on the quote has stopped feeling defensible, or Sprinklr has appeared on a shortlist and nobody can work out what it would cost or what it is being compared against. Both are hard to research, because Sprinklr publishes no price at all.

That is not a figure of speech. We checked again on September 2, 2026: sprinklr.com/pricing returns a 404, while the homepage returns 200. Sprinklr's own sitemap lists over 3,500 URLs and exactly one contains the word pricing, a press release from its 2021 IPO. There is no trial and no self-serve tier, since Sprinklr retired self-serve in April 2026, so every route in is a demo request.

The more useful thing this page can do is fix the comparison itself. Sprinklr is not a listening tool with extras. Its Insights product alone contains roughly fifteen modules, from Social Listening and Competitive Benchmarking through Visual Insights, Location Insights, Product Insights, LLM Insights and Video Intelligence, and Insights is one of four clouds alongside Service, Marketing and Social. When someone says they are evaluating a Sprinklr competitor, they usually mean they want one or two of those modules. Naming which ones changes the entire shortlist and, more to the point, the budget.

So this page sorts the field by what each vendor actually replaces, and prices every rival using procurement records rather than guesswork. Sprinklr's platform facts were read from sprinklr.com and re-checked on September 2, 2026. Contract figures come from Vendr, which publishes ranges taken from real signed deals. Where a vendor publishes no price, this page says so rather than inventing one.

Why it works

Three questions that decide your Sprinklr shortlist

Which clouds are you actually replacing

Sprinklr sells Service, Marketing, Social and Insights as one platform, and Insights alone holds around fifteen modules. A team replacing the whole thing needs a full-suite rival. A team that only opens Social Listening and Competitive Benchmarking is shopping in a completely different, and far cheaper, market.

Whether a published price is a requirement

Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Cision publish nothing. If your process needs a number before a sales call, that removes five names at once and leaves the self-serve tier, where prices sit on the page and you can start the same day.

How much of the spread is negotiating room

Vendr records Sprinklr deals from $28,800 to $482,884, a seventeen-fold range, and notes discounts of 20 to 35 percent as common on multi-year and competitive deals. Running a genuine competitive evaluation is worth real money here even if you intend to renew.

Who competes with Sprinklr, what each one costs, and how to size the shortlist to the job

Sprinklr platform facts, the 404 on its pricing URL and the absence of a trial were read from sprinklr.com and re-checked on September 2, 2026. Contract medians and ranges are from Vendr, which publishes figures taken from real signed deals. Competitor prices were verified on each vendor's own site during August and September 2026.

Start with the structural point, because it explains the price. Sprinklr sells a unified platform, and its Insights product is not a feature but a stack: Social Listening with an AI Topics layer, a separate Social Media Monitoring tool, Conversation Insights, Audience Insights, Competitive Benchmarking, Product Insights, Location Insights, Visual Insights, Smart Insights, LLM Insights, Video Intelligence, Surveys, Reputation Management, and Analytics and Reporting. Insights then sits beside Service, Marketing and Social. Sprinklr markets more than 30 channels monitored in real time, around 500 million daily conversations, and logo detection inside GIFs, images and video, and it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant.

That module count is the best available explanation for the seventeen-fold contract spread. Vendr records a median Sprinklr contract of $127,490 a year, with a recorded low of $28,800 and a high of $482,884, and notes that discounts of 20 to 35 percent off the opening quote are common on multi-year commitments and competitive evaluations. Two companies of similar headcount can receive quotes that differ by an order of magnitude purely on which clouds and modules are switched on.

Now the competitive field, sorted by what each vendor genuinely replaces rather than by who shows up in the same ad auction.

The first group is the enterprise listening and media intelligence vendors, and this is where most real Sprinklr evaluations land. Brandwatch is the closest analytical peer, claiming 1.7 trillion historical conversations back to 2010, around 501 million new conversations daily, 100 million unique sites, X and Tumblr firehose access, image analysis and more than 50 visualizations, with an AI assistant called Iris. Vendr puts its median at $50,000 a year across 40 purchases, roughly 40 percent of Sprinklr's. Meltwater is the earned media specialist, with more than 400,000 traditional outlets, over 200 million online publications, more than 20,000 podcasts, broadcast, and a long list of APAC platforms including WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Naver and LINE that very few Western vendors carry. Its Vendr median is $25,800. Talkwalker, now owned by Hootsuite and sold as Lumen by Talkwalker, sits at a $27,370 median, though on a thin sample of only three unique purchasers. Cision is the PR-first option at a $12,625 median across 107 purchases, and it is the one where buyers negotiate hardest, at around 26 percent off on average.

One ownership warning before you build that list. This category has consolidated hard enough that shortlists routinely contain the same company twice. Cision owns both Brandwatch and BuzzSumo. Hootsuite owns Talkwalker. Agorapulse owns Mention. Meltwater has been private under Marlin Equity Partners and Altor since August 2023. Sprinklr itself is independent and publicly listed on the NYSE as CXM. Putting two names with the same parent on a bid sheet quietly removes the competitive tension you were trying to create, and competitive tension is where the 20 to 35 percent lives.

The second group is the mid-market social suites: Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Agorapulse. These publish real prices, which makes them easy to evaluate, but read the listening line carefully because it is where the marketing and the plan table disagree. Hootsuite runs Standard at $99, Professional at $199 and Advanced at $399 per user per month billed annually, with a 14 day trial and no card required. Its listening module, Lumen, is powered by Talkwalker, and Hootsuite's own plan table shows that alerts, historical data, scheduled reports and benchmarking are Enterprise-only. Advanced at $399 adds nothing at all to Lumen over Professional at $199. Sprout Social prices Standard at $199, Professional at $299 and Advanced at $399 per seat per month annually, and states verbatim that "Premium Analytics and Listening are each available as individual add-ons to the Standard plan and up", with the add-on itself unpriced. Agorapulse runs $79, $119 and $149 per user per month annually, and its Advanced Listening is a demo-gated add-on with no published price on any tier. In all three cases the listed price is the publishing and engagement price, not the listening price.

The third group is focused monitoring tools, and it is the group most people in this search actually need. If the honest requirement is knowing who mentioned the brand this morning, whether tone has moved since last week, and whether anything is escalating right now, that is one module out of Sprinklr's fifteen. Brand24 publishes $199 a month billed yearly with real-time collection from $399. Mentionlytics starts at $49. EyeOut is $59 a month billed yearly with real-time collection on every tier and seats included rather than metered. The gap between $59 a month and a $127,490 contract is not a discount argument, it is a scope argument, and it is only the right trade if the other fourteen modules are genuinely unused.

The honest boundary runs the other way too. Nothing in the third group does what Sprinklr does. There is no unified agent desktop, no case routing, no publishing and campaign management across dozens of channels, no logo detection inside video, no location or product insights layer, and no governance model designed for thousands of seats across regulated regions. Organizations running customer care, marketing, publishing and listening as one operating system with global compliance requirements are buying something a monitoring subscription does not attempt. For them the real competitors are the other full-suite platforms, and the useful negotiating lever is not switching vendor, it is arriving at the renewal with a competing scoped quote in hand.

One practical procurement note that applies whatever you choose. Because Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Cision all price on scope rather than on a list, the only way to compare them is to write your requirements once, in your own words, and send the identical document to every vendor. Ask each to price the same module set, the same seat count, the same historical window and the same regions. Then put the responses beside one published price so you can see, in dollars, what the enterprise premium is buying. That exercise is also the fastest way to discover that half the modules on the quote were never in your requirements.

Who are Sprinklr's biggest competitors?

In enterprise listening and media intelligence, the closest rivals are Brandwatch, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Cision. Brandwatch is the nearest analytical peer at a $50,000 Vendr median, Meltwater leads on earned media breadth at $25,800, and Cision is the PR-first option at $12,625.

One step down, Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Agorapulse compete for the social publishing and engagement side, and focused tools such as EyeOut, Brand24 and Mentionlytics compete for the monitoring module alone. Which group is the real competitor depends entirely on how many of Sprinklr's modules you use.

How much does Sprinklr cost per year?

Sprinklr publishes no price, so the only honest answer comes from contract records. Vendr puts the median Sprinklr contract at $127,490 a year, with recorded deals running from $28,800 to $482,884, and notes that discounts of 20 to 35 percent off the opening quote are common on multi-year commitments and competitive evaluations.

That seventeen-fold spread is scope, not a discount ladder. Sprinklr Insights alone holds around fifteen modules, and Insights is one of four clouds, so which boxes are switched on moves the number far more than headcount does.

What is a cheaper alternative to Sprinklr?

Among vendors that publish a readable price, the credible options are Mentionlytics at $49 a month, EyeOut at $59 and Brand24 at $199, all billed yearly. EyeOut collects in real time on every tier and includes seats rather than metering them, which most self-serve tools reserve for a higher plan.

The trade is scope, and it is a large one. None of these offer an agent desktop, case routing, campaign publishing across 30-plus channels, logo detection in video or enterprise governance. They replace Sprinklr only if listening and alerting is genuinely the job.

Is Sprinklr better than Brandwatch?

They win on different axes. Brandwatch is the stronger pure research platform, claiming 1.7 trillion conversations back to 2010, roughly 501 million new conversations daily, firehose access to X and Tumblr, and more than 50 visualizations. Sprinklr is the stronger operating platform, unifying listening with care, marketing and publishing across more than 30 channels.

Cost separates them clearly: Vendr medians are $50,000 for Brandwatch against $127,490 for Sprinklr. Note also that Cision owns Brandwatch, so a shortlist containing Brandwatch and Cision is not two independent options.

Does Sprinklr have a free trial?

No. Sprinklr retired its self-serve product in April 2026, and every call to action on the site now reads Request demo. There is no free tier, no card-free trial and no way to see your own data without a sales conversation.

Budget the evaluation accordingly. Between demo, scoping, security review, legal and procurement, an enterprise platform purchase commonly runs several weeks or months. If the reason you are shopping is a live issue this week, that timeline, rather than the price, is the binding constraint.

Who owns Sprinklr?

Sprinklr is independent and publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CXM. It is not owned by another vendor in this category, which is worth confirming across any shortlist you build.

Several rivals are not independent. Cision owns Brandwatch and BuzzSumo, Hootsuite owns Talkwalker and sells it as Lumen by Talkwalker, Agorapulse owns Mention, and Meltwater has been private under Marlin Equity Partners and Altor since August 2023.

Good questions

Questions about sprinklr competitors

It replaces one part of Sprinklr honestly and does not attempt the rest. For real-time monitoring of web, news, social, forums, podcasts and review sites, AI sentiment on every mention, share of voice and graded crisis alerts, yes, at a published $59 a month billed yearly. For the agent desktop, case routing, campaign publishing, logo detection in video, surveys and enterprise governance, no. If those are on your requirements list, a full-suite platform is the right category.
EyeOut is $59 a month billed yearly on Starter, $149 on Growth and $399 on Pro, with Enterprise custom. That is $708 a year at entry against a Vendr median Sprinklr contract of $127,490 a year. Seats are included rather than charged per user, and you can be looking at your own mentions the same day, with no demo, no module picker and no annual negotiation.
Because the quote prices scope, not size. Sprinklr Insights alone contains around fifteen modules, and Insights sits beside Service, Marketing and Social. Vendr records deals from $28,800 to $482,884, a seventeen-fold spread, and notes 20 to 35 percent discounts as common on multi-year and competitive deals. The practical response is to define your module set in writing before the first call and price only that.
Among the enterprise set, none. Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Cision all price on a quote. Among the mid-market suites, Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Agorapulse publish per-seat prices, but in each case listening is either an unpriced add-on or reserved for the top tier. Among focused monitoring tools, Mentionlytics, Brand24 and EyeOut publish prices you can read and buy without a sales call.
