Short answer: Neither Khoros nor Sprinklr publishes a price. khoros.com now redirects to khoros.ai, which has no pricing page, and sprinklr.com/pricing returns a 404. The only current public benchmark belongs to Khoros: Vendr's February 2026 buyer guide puts the median Khoros contract at $164,649 a year, with a range of $52,843 to $258,854. Vendr's Sprinklr guide of the same month no longer prints a median at all, only discount ranges of 20% to 35% off first quotes. Sprinklr is the broader suite (it adds a full contact center), Khoros is the one with a mature community product. If the job is hearing about brand mentions, you need neither.
khoros.ai, sprinklr.com and the Vendr buyer guides for both vendors were read in October 2026. Every figure below is named with its source, and where a vendor publishes nothing, this page says so.

So a straight price comparison is not possible from public sources. What you can compare is how each contract is assembled, what the benchmarks say about its size, and which line items you can cut.
How much does Khoros cost?
Khoros does not print a number. Since IgniteTech completed its acquisition in May 2025, the company sells from khoros.ai, and the site lists two products: Aurora AI, an "AI-native community platform", and Iris AI, an "AI-native social media management platform" that carries publishing, digital care, analytics and listening. Every route ends in a contact form.
Vendr's Khoros buyer guide is the only public anchor. It shows a median of $164,649 a year with 24% average negotiated savings, and it breaks typical spend down by module:
- Communities: mid-market buyers with 10,000 to 50,000 registered members often see $75,000 to $200,000 a year.
- Care: teams with 10 to 25 agent seats often see $60,000 to $150,000 a year.
- Marketing (publishing, listening, analytics): teams of 5 to 15 users often see $40,000 to $100,000 a year.
- Implementation: $10,000 to $30,000 for a single module under 20 users, rising past $100,000 for multi-module deployments with custom integrations.

How much does Sprinklr cost?
Sprinklr is quote only, and since April 2026 it is enterprise only too: the self-serve Sprinklr Social plans that review sites still list at a few hundred dollars per seat are gone. Vendr's current guide describes the price as "quoted annually based on the buyer's requirements" and explains the meters rather than the total. Sprinklr Social is priced on user licenses and the number of social profiles you manage, on top of a base platform fee. Sprinklr Insights, the listening product, is priced on users, data sources and query volume, meaning the number of listening topics, keywords and dashboards.
What Vendr does still publish is negotiation data. Volume and contract length commonly yield 20% to 35% off initial quotes, and multi-year terms often land 15% to 30% below a 12-month agreement. An earlier version of the same guide recorded a median Sprinklr contract of $127,490 in an earlier sample of 20 purchases, with deals from $28,800 to $482,884. That figure is now historic, so use it only as a sense of scale, not as a target. Our Sprinklr social listening pricing breakdown covers the Insights meters in more detail.
Is Sprinklr more expensive than Khoros?
For a like-for-like scope, usually yes, but the gap depends on what you buy. Vendr places Sprinklr in the mid-to-high range of enterprise customer experience platforms, and Sprinklr's catalogue is wider: a contact center product, marketing and advertising tools, and an insights suite with its own data licences. A team that buys Sprinklr Service and Social together is buying more than any Khoros configuration includes.
Narrow the scope and the picture changes. A Khoros deal built around a large community can cost more than a Sprinklr deal for a single Social module with a handful of seats. The only reliable answer is to send both vendors the same written brief and compare itemized quotes.
Khoros vs Sprinklr, which is better?
Pick by the job, not the logo:
- Choose Sprinklr if you want social care, voice and a contact center in one platform, or you need listening across licensed data at very large volume. It is the broader suite, and as a listed company its financials are public.
- Choose Khoros if a branded support or product community is central to your customer experience. Aurora AI descends from Lithium, one of the longest-running enterprise community products, and communities are not a core Sprinklr product.
- Choose neither if your team mostly uses its suite to catch brand mentions. Both contracts bundle publishing, care and services you may barely touch.
If you are weighing a wider field, our Khoros alternatives page sorts the replacements by the module they replace, and the Sprinklr competitors page does the same for Sprinklr.
What drives the price on each contract
| Cost driver | Khoros | Sprinklr |
|---|---|---|
| Seats | Users and care agent seats | User licenses on every product |
| Channels | Social channels and accounts managed | Social profiles (brand accounts) managed |
| Listening scope | Listening volume inside Iris AI | Data sources and query volume in Insights |
| Community | Registered members and integrations | Not a core product |
| Services | Implementation, training, Guided by Experts | Professional services, often a separate line |
| Renewal terms | 60 to 90 day notice is common; Vendr sees 3% to 7% annual escalators | Multi-year terms trade price for commitment |
How do you negotiate Khoros or Sprinklr pricing?
Ask both vendors for the quote itemized by product, users, profiles and services, so you can see what listening costs on its own. Put the renewal notice period, the annual escalator cap and the data sources included in writing. Vendr's Khoros data shows renewal increases of 5% to 15% for buyers who do not negotiate, and escalator caps of 3% to 5% for those who do.
Running a real competitive evaluation is the strongest lever with either vendor. A credible second quote moves an enterprise suite more than any discount request, which is why a Khoros renewal and a Sprinklr bid often arrive on the same desk. And look hard at the care volume behind the seat count. Plenty of the repetitive questions that end up in social DMs can be answered earlier by an AI chatbot on your website, which can shrink the number of care agents you license on either platform.
When you need neither
A lot of Khoros and Sprinklr contracts are renewed by teams whose daily use is narrow: a comms lead who needs to know within the hour when a news site, a Reddit thread or a podcast names the company, and a weekly view of sentiment against two or three competitors. That job does not need a six-figure suite.
EyeOut collects Google News, Reddit, Mastodon, Hacker News, Lemmy and Apple Podcasts every 30 minutes, scores sentiment on every mention and tracks share of voice. From the Growth plan, a crisis radar flags a keyword when its volume or tone breaks from its own baseline, and alerts go to Slack. Plans are $39, $94, $249 and $499 a month billed yearly, with seats included. It does not publish posts, route care tickets, host a community or license Facebook and Instagram data, so if those are why you buy a suite, keep the suite. If they are not, see the EyeOut pricing and compare it with the social listening pricing comparison of 25 tools.
Khoros vs Sprinklr pricing FAQ
Does Khoros or Sprinklr have a free trial?
Neither. Khoros advertises no trial on khoros.ai, and Sprinklr has offered no trial or self-serve plan since it retired its self-serve tier in April 2026. Both sell through a demo and a negotiated pilot. If you need hands-on time, ask for a time-limited pilot on your own brand terms and get its scope in writing.
Who owns Khoros and Sprinklr?
IgniteTech owns Khoros. It completed the acquisition from Vista Equity Partners in May 2025 and renamed the products Aurora AI and Iris AI. Sprinklr is an independent public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CXM.
Is Sprinklr cheaper than Khoros for social listening only?
Not reliably. Sprinklr Insights is priced on users, sources and query volume, and Khoros bundles listening inside Iris AI, so neither sells a cheap listening-only seat. For listening alone, compare both against published monthly tools, which start well under $500 a month.
Can I move from Khoros to Sprinklr mid-contract?
Usually not without paying out the term. Check the auto-renewal clause and notice period first, run Sprinklr in parallel for a month before the notice date, and export your saved searches, reports and community content from Khoros before access ends.
