B2B social listening tools for SaaS teams, pricing compared
The short answer
B2B social listening tracks what buyers, customers, analysts and competitors say about your company across web, news, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, forums, podcasts and review sites, then scores each mention and alerts the people who need to act. It differs from consumer monitoring in one structural way: a B2B brand generates a small fraction of the mention volume a consumer brand does, and each individual mention is worth far more. That makes mention quota close to irrelevant as a buying criterion, and makes source coverage, alert speed and how many colleagues can see a mention the specifications that decide whether the tool is worth anything. Published entry prices in this category run from $49 to $599 a month.
Most social listening is sold on the assumption that you are a consumer brand drowning in mentions. The plan cards lead with mention quotas: 5,000, 15,000, 50,000, 100,000 a month. That framing is close to useless for a B2B company, because a B2B software brand does not have a volume problem. It has a signal problem.
If you sell to procurement teams or engineering leads, your entire month of brand conversation might be a handful of Reddit threads, a comparison post, a couple of review-site entries, one podcast mention and a competitor's launch. Nobody needs a 100,000 mention allowance to catch that. What you need is for the tool to actually look in the places where B2B buying conversations happen, to tell you fast enough that a salesperson can act on it, and to let the account executive who owns that deal see it without you buying another seat.
This page compares what the vendors in this category actually publish: the entry price, what the plan meters, how often it collects, and who is allowed to look. Everything below was read from each vendor's own pricing page, most recently in September 2026.

Why it works
Three things that make B2B monitoring a different purchase
Mention quota is the wrong meter
Entry plans in this category allow anywhere from 2,000 mentions a month (Brand24 Individual, $199) to 50,000 (Mention Company, $599). For a B2B brand those numbers are almost never the binding constraint. The constraint is whether the tool indexes the forum, subreddit or review site where your buyers argue about vendors, and whether it tells you the same day. Buy on coverage and speed, and treat the quota as a footnote.
Your buyers read reviews before they read you
In B2B the decisive conversation often happens on review and comparison sites rather than on social. That makes review coverage a purchase criterion, not a nice extra, and it is worth checking how each vendor treats it. Mentionlytics, for example, lists extensive review monitoring as a paid add-on on every one of its six tiers rather than as an included source. EyeOut treats review sites as a first-class source on every plan.
The person who should act is rarely the buyer
A B2B mention is usually actionable by someone other than marketing: the account executive who owns that logo, the support lead, the product manager whose roadmap just got criticized, the founder. Per-seat billing quietly prevents exactly that. Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Agorapulse all bill per user per month, so widening visibility multiplies the invoice. Flat plans do not.
What it handles
Watched, read and flagged in real time
EyeOut watches every channel for your brand, scores each mention for sentiment and emotion, rolls it up into share of voice and a daily digest, and alerts you the second a real spike begins.
- Web, news, X, Reddit, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, forums, podcasts and review sites tracked together
- Seats included on every plan, so sales, support, product and founders can all see the same mention
- Real-time collection on every tier, not reserved for the top plan
- AI sentiment, emotion and clustered themes on every mention, so low volume still becomes a readable trend
- Named competitors tracked alongside you for share of voice
- Published pricing from $59 a month billed yearly, no sales call to get a number

The comparison
What each vendor publishes, and what a B2B team should read it as
Every figure below was read from the vendor's own pricing page. Mentionlytics and YouScan were re-verified on September 5, 2026, Awario, Brand24 and Mention on September 4, 2026, and Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Agorapulse during August 2026. Where a vendor publishes no figure we say so rather than estimating.
Read down the published-price column and one thing becomes obvious: the price tells you very little. Two vendors twelve dollars apart can differ by a factor of twelve on how often they collect, and by the difference between two seats and unlimited ones.
For a B2B buyer, the columns that matter are the last three. Refresh interval decides whether you find out about a competitor's launch thread in an hour or on Tuesday. Seats decide whether the account executive who could actually use the mention ever sees it. And the meter tells you what will run out first, which for a B2B brand is almost never mentions and almost always tracked keywords, because you want your brand, your products, your competitors and your category all watched at once.
Published entry pricing and what it includes, verified from each vendor's own pricing page
| Vendor | Published entry price | Refresh interval at entry | Users at entry | What the plan meters |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EyeOut | $59/mo billed yearly | Real time on every plan | Seats included, no per-user fee | Tracked keywords (3 / 10 / 30) |
| Mentionlytics | $49/mo billed yearly | Every 12 hours, continuous from $249 | 2 users on Basic, unlimited from $249 | Keyword rules, mentions, social profiles |
| Awario | EUR 29/mo billed yearly | None published at any tier | 1 team member on Starter | Topics and stored mentions |
| Brand24 | $199/mo billed yearly | Every 12 hours, hourly at $299, real time at $399 | Flat, not per seat | Keywords and tracked mentions |
| BuzzSumo | $199/mo | Not published | Varies by plan | Users, alerts and searches |
| YouScan | $499/mo billed annually | None published | Unlimited users | Topics (3) and sampled mentions (15,000) |
| Mention | From $599/mo, annual contract | Not published | Unlimited users | Alerts (5) and mentions (50,000) |
| Sprout Social | $199/seat/mo Standard | Not published | Per seat | Seats and social profiles, listening is an unpriced add-on |
| Hootsuite | $99/user/mo Standard | Not published | Per user | Users and social accounts, listening alerts are Enterprise only |
| Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Cision | No published price at any tier | Not published | Negotiated | Scoped into the quote |
What runs out first for a B2B brand, by vendor entry allowance
| Vendor entry plan | Mention allowance | Keyword or topic allowance | Which one a B2B team hits first |
|---|---|---|---|
| EyeOut Starter, $59 | Not the meter | 3 tracked keywords | Keywords, once you add products and competitors. Growth at $149 covers 10 |
| Mentionlytics Basic, $49 | 5,000 a month | 3 keyword rules | Keyword rules, long before 5,000 mentions |
| Brand24 Individual, $199 | 2,000 a month | 3 keywords | Keywords, and the 12 hour collection cycle limits its usefulness first |
| Awario Starter, EUR 29 | 30,000 new a month | 3 topics | Topics, and the 1 team member cap on visibility |
| YouScan Starter 3, $499 | 15,000 sampled | 3 topics | Topics, at a price where three is a hard constraint |
| Mention Company, $599 | 50,000 a month | 5 alerts | Alerts. The mention quota is far beyond B2B volume |
Which social listening tools are best for B2B SaaS companies?
The right answer depends on which job you are buying for. If you need broad source coverage with alerting the whole team can see, a flat-rate tool with seats included fits B2B team structure better: EyeOut at $59 a month billed yearly, or Brand24 from $199. If multi-language sentiment across several markets matters more, Mentionlytics is strong and transparent, though continuous collection starts at $249 and review-site monitoring is a paid add-on. If you need historical backfill and analyst-grade reporting, the quote-only suites are the realistic option and you should budget in the tens of thousands.
How much does B2B social listening cost?
Self-serve tools that publish a price run from about EUR 29 to $599 a month. EyeOut is $59, $149 and $399 a month billed yearly with seats included. Mentionlytics runs $49 to $1,083 across six tiers. Brand24 runs $199 to $599 with Enterprise from $1,499. The quote-only enterprise suites publish nothing; Vendr procurement medians put Cision at $12,625 a year, Meltwater at $25,800, Brandwatch at $50,000 and Sprinklr at $127,490.
Do social listening tools cover LinkedIn?
Coverage varies and it is worth checking rather than assuming, because LinkedIn is where a lot of B2B conversation happens. EyeOut tracks LinkedIn alongside web, news, X, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, forums, podcasts and review sites. Mentionlytics lists LinkedIn among its social sources on every tier, alongside X, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Bluesky and Threads. Ask any vendor to confirm in writing what LinkedIn coverage actually means for them, because public post coverage and company-page analytics are different things.
Do social listening tools monitor review sites?
Some include it and some sell it separately, and for B2B this is worth checking before you buy. Mentionlytics lists extensive review monitoring as an add-on on all six of its tiers rather than as an included source. EyeOut includes review sites as a first-class source on every plan. Since review and comparison pages are often where a B2B shortlist is actually decided, treating that coverage as optional is a real gap.
How fast should a B2B brand be alerted to a mention?
Fast enough that whoever owns the relationship can respond while the thread is still live, which in practice means within the hour rather than the next day. That requires continuous collection underneath the alert, and most vendors do not publish their interval at all. Of those that do, Brand24 collects every 12 hours at $199 and reaches real time at $399, Mentionlytics runs every 12 hours at $49 and continuous from $249, and EyeOut collects in real time on every plan.
Is B2B social listening different from consumer social listening?
The technology is the same but the buying criteria invert. Consumer brands buy for volume handling, sampling and trend analysis at scale. B2B brands have low volume and high value per mention, so they buy for coverage of specific niche sources, speed of alerting, and the ability to route a single mention to the right person. That is why the mention quotas on most plan cards are close to irrelevant to a B2B purchase.
Can social listening find sales leads for a B2B team?
It can surface buying signals, which is not quite the same thing. Mentions where someone asks for a recommendation in your category, complains about a competitor, or announces a project that implies a purchase are all genuine signals, and catching them early is where the value is. What listening cannot do is qualify or contact the person for you, so treat it as an input to your sales process rather than a lead-generation tool.
What should a B2B team ask a vendor before signing?
Three things, none of which are usually on a pricing page. Ask how often the tool collects for your specific sources, stated in hours, because most vendors publish nothing. Ask whether review sites and the niche forums your buyers use are included or an add-on. And ask what the total cost is once everyone who needs visibility has access, because per-seat billing changes the answer substantially at team size.
