Listening & monitoring · Hootsuite Insights pricing
Hootsuite Insights pricing now Insights powered by Brandwatch is a legacy add-on
The short answer
Hootsuite Insights has no public price, and new buyers can no longer pick it from a price list. Insights, powered by Brandwatch, was sold as an add-on package to the Business and Enterprise plans; Hootsuite's help center now files it under "Other products" next to Legacy Hootsuite Ads, and the old product page at hootsuite.com/products/insights answers with a 301 redirect to the Talkwalker by Hootsuite listening page. Hootsuite's published plans run $99, $199 and $399 per user a month on annual billing, and alerts, 13 months of history and advanced listening sit only on the custom-priced Enterprise tier.
People search for Hootsuite Insights pricing for one of two reasons. Some are renewing a contract that still carries the Insights add-on and want to know what it should cost next year. Others remember Insights as the listening part of Hootsuite and want to add it to a new plan. Both run into the same problem: the review sites still show pricing pages dated 2023, and Hootsuite's own site no longer sells anything called Insights.
What happened is a change of engine. For about a decade Hootsuite's serious listening came from Brandwatch, first through a partnership announced in October 2013 and later as Insights, powered by Brandwatch. In April 2024 Hootsuite announced it was buying Talkwalker, and listening has moved to Talkwalker technology sold as Lumen. This page shows what the redirect does, what Hootsuite publishes in place of an Insights price, what each current plan includes for listening, and how to price the brand monitoring job separately if that is all you used Insights for.

Why it works
Three things to know before you budget for Hootsuite Insights
The Insights product page now lands on Talkwalker
A request to hootsuite.com/products/insights returns a 301 redirect to hootsuite.com/platform/listening, a page headed by Talkwalker by Hootsuite with a single Request a demo button. There is no Insights plan, no Insights price and no Insights signup left on the marketing site.
Insights was always an add-on, never a plan
Hootsuite's own help article lists the plans for Insights as Business and Enterprise, as an add-on package. Business is not among the plans Hootsuite publishes today (Standard, Professional, Advanced, Enterprise), so the add-on is tied to a plan name new buyers cannot choose.
Listening with alerts is Enterprise only
The published per-seat plans include brand and competitor monitoring streams, and Professional adds a 30-day Quick Search. Alerts, scheduled reports, 13 months of history and advanced listening powered by Lumen are listed for Enterprise, which has no published price.
What it handles
Watched, read and flagged twice an hour
EyeOut watches Google News, Reddit, Mastodon, Hacker News, Lemmy and podcasts for your brand, scores each mention for sentiment, rolls it up into a daily digest and share of voice, and alerts you when a real spike begins.
- A published price at every tier: $39, $94 and $249 a month billed yearly, or $79, $189 and $499 month to month
- Seats included in the plan price (1 on Starter, 3 on Growth, 10 on Pro), so the people who need alerts get a login without a per-user charge
- Collection every 30 minutes on every plan, with a crisis radar from Growth that flags a keyword jumping above its own 7-day average
- Google News, Reddit, Mastodon, Hacker News, Lemmy and Apple Podcasts in one feed
- AI sentiment and theme on every mention, share of voice against named competitors from Growth
- Monthly billing on every plan, so there is no annual Enterprise contract to sign before you know it works

What Hootsuite Insights costs now, where the product went, and what each Hootsuite plan includes for listening
The Insights redirect, the Talkwalker by Hootsuite listening page, the Insights help article and hootsuite.com/plans were requested directly and read on October 2, 2026. Acquisition and partnership dates come from the announcements. Where Hootsuite publishes no price, this page says so.
Start with the measurement. A request to hootsuite.com/products/insights returns HTTP 301 with hootsuite.com/platform/listening as the destination. That page is titled Social Media Monitoring Tools and Social Listening Software, it credits Talkwalker by Hootsuite with tracking billions of conversations, and it cites coverage of 150 million websites, more than 30 social networks and 172 TV networks. Its only call to action is Request a demo. Nothing on it mentions Brandwatch or Insights.
The Insights product itself still has documentation. Hootsuite's help center keeps an Overview of Insights article, last updated October 21, 2025, filed under Other products alongside Legacy Hootsuite Ads and Sparkcentral. It describes Insights, powered by Brandwatch as a social listening solution, lists its plans as Business and Enterprise (as an add-on package), and explains that mentions are matched from the Brandwatch Data Library, the shared collection of public data Brandwatch gathers with its own crawlers, search APIs and data partners. Access is set at team level: team admins get read-write access and other members are read-only.
That is the shape of a product being serviced rather than sold. Existing customers can keep using it under their contracts, but the plan it attached to is not on Hootsuite's current price list, and the marketing site routes anyone looking for it to a different engine. Hootsuite owns that engine outright: it announced the purchase of Talkwalker on April 8, 2024, and listening is now branded Lumen inside what Hootsuite calls Social OS.
So what does listening cost on Hootsuite today. The plans page publishes Standard at $99, Professional at $199 and Advanced at $399 per user a month on annual billing, each with a 14-day trial. Standard lists monitoring your brand and competitors. Professional adds Quick Search across up to 30 days of conversations, up to five results compared at once, export of listening results and trend forecasting up to 90 days ahead. Advanced adds approvals, routing and team reporting, but nothing extra for listening. Enterprise is where Hootsuite places 13 months of historical data, advanced data sources, alerts, scheduled reports, brand review monitoring and advanced listening powered by Lumen, and Enterprise is quoted, not priced.
For a renewal, that changes the conversation. An Insights add-on priced years ago against a Business plan has no current list price to anchor to, so the renewal number is whatever Hootsuite proposes, usually framed as a move to Enterprise and Lumen. Before you accept it, separate the two jobs Insights was doing. Research across large social datasets is what the Brandwatch data library was good at, and it is an enterprise purchase wherever you buy it. Day-to-day alerts on your brand, your products and your competitors are a much cheaper job, and self-serve tools publish prices for it.

How much does Hootsuite Insights cost?
Hootsuite Insights has no published cost. It was sold as an add-on package to Business and Enterprise plans and priced by quote, and Hootsuite's marketing site no longer lists it at all.
The nearest real reference is the current price list. Standard, Professional and Advanced run $99, $199 and $399 per user a month billed annually, but alerts and advanced listening are only on Enterprise, which has no published price. Expect a renewal to be quoted as Enterprise with Lumen.
Is Hootsuite Insights still available?
For existing customers, it is still documented and supported: the help center keeps the Overview of Insights article, last updated in October 2025, under Other products. For new buyers it is effectively gone.
The product page hootsuite.com/products/insights now redirects to the Talkwalker by Hootsuite listening page, and the plan Insights attached to, Business, is not on the current price list. New listening is sold as Lumen.
What is Hootsuite Insights powered by Brandwatch?
It is the social listening add-on Hootsuite sold on top of its Business and Enterprise plans. Insights matched mentions from the Brandwatch Data Library, the public data Brandwatch collects with its own crawlers, search APIs and data partners, and showed them inside Hootsuite.
The partnership dates to October 2013. Brandwatch is now owned by Cision, and Hootsuite owns Talkwalker, so the two companies sit on opposite sides of the market today.
What replaced Hootsuite Insights?
Talkwalker technology, sold by Hootsuite as Lumen. Hootsuite announced the Talkwalker acquisition on April 8, 2024, and the old Insights product page now lands on a listening page headed Talkwalker by Hootsuite.
On the current plans, advanced listening powered by Lumen, alerts, scheduled reports and 13 months of history are listed for Enterprise only. The per-seat plans keep basic brand and competitor monitoring.
Does Hootsuite have social listening on the Professional plan?
A limited version. Professional at $199 per user a month billed annually includes Quick Search across up to 30 days of conversations, comparison of up to five results at once, export of listening results and trend forecasting up to 90 days ahead.
What it does not list is alerts, scheduled reports or long history. Those are on Enterprise, so Professional is a search tool you visit rather than a monitor that tells you when something happens.
What should I ask Hootsuite before renewing Insights?
Ask whether the Insights add-on can be renewed as it is, or whether the renewal requires a move to Enterprise and Lumen, and get both prices in writing. Then ask for the listening line itemized separately from seats and publishing.
Also ask what happens to your saved Insights searches and history on a move to Lumen, how many seats include listening access, and whether alerts are included or priced on top.
What is a cheaper alternative to Hootsuite Insights?
It depends which part of Insights you used. For deep research across very large social datasets, the realistic options are enterprise suites such as Talkwalker, Brandwatch or Meltwater, all priced by quote.
If you mainly used Insights to get told when your brand, products or competitors were mentioned, a self-serve monitoring tool with a published price covers that job for a fraction of an enterprise listening contract, with monthly billing.
