Crimson Hexagon pricing: Brandwatch vs Crimson Hexagon cost after the merger
The short answer
Crimson Hexagon no longer has a price of its own. It merged with Brandwatch in a deal announced on October 4, 2018, and crimsonhexagon.com now answers every request, including /pricing, with a redirect to brandwatch.com. Brandwatch publishes no figure on any plan. Vendr's record of 40 signed Brandwatch contracts puts the median at $50,000 a year. If you only need brand mentions and alerts, a self-serve tool costs far less.
Search for Crimson Hexagon pricing and the first page is directories: Gartner Peer Insights, SaaSworthy, SoftwareSuggest, CompareCamp, ITQlick, FinancesOnline, SaaSCounter, CrowdReviews. Several still print a range of roughly $1,500 a month for smaller teams and $10,000 or more for enterprises. None of them says where that range came from, and most do not mention that the company stopped selling under its own name after the 2018 merger. The price you would actually be quoted today is a Brandwatch price.

Why it works
Three things to know before you budget for Crimson Hexagon
The listed range is for a product you cannot buy
Crimson Hexagon was a standalone social analytics company until the merger announced in October 2018. The directory figures of about $1,500 a month and up were captured before or around that point and have been copied forward since. No current Crimson Hexagon price list exists to check them against, because there is no Crimson Hexagon storefront.
Brandwatch publishes no number in its place
Request brandwatch.com/pricing and you land on the plans page, headed Pricing and Plans for Every Team. It lists Consumer Intelligence, Social Media Management (formerly the Falcon suite), Influencer Marketing (formerly Paladin) and Search Intelligence and GenAI Monitoring, says standard to enterprise plans are available for each, and prints no dollar figure. Every route ends in a demo form.
The owner changed again in 2021
Cision acquired Brandwatch in a deal that closed on June 1, 2021, so the Crimson Hexagon technology now sits inside the Cision group. Cision's own pricing form names Brandwatch as one of its affiliated brands. That matters at renewal: you are negotiating with a product line inside a larger group, priced against the group's targets.

What happened to Crimson Hexagon, and what its successor costs
crimsonhexagon.com, Brandwatch's merger press release, its February 2019 merger update, the Brandwatch plans page and Vendr's Brandwatch buyer guide were read directly in September 2026. Where no price is published, this page says so.
Crimson Hexagon was one of the best known names in social media analytics, sold mostly to enterprise brands and research teams on annual contracts. On October 4, 2018 it and Brandwatch announced a stock-for-stock merger of equals that created, in Brandwatch's words, a business with about $100 million in annual recurring revenue that would move forward as Brandwatch. Brandwatch said both products would be supported and run independently for an extended period while it built one platform.
That platform arrived as Brandwatch Consumer Research. In a February 2019 update Brandwatch said it planned to launch the first version of the integrated product that October, combining Crimson Hexagon's AI and historical data index with Brandwatch's interface. Consumer Research is still named on the Brandwatch plans page today, under Consumer Intelligence.
So a buyer typing Crimson Hexagon pricing in 2026 is really asking one of two things. Either you are a former Crimson Hexagon customer facing a Brandwatch renewal, or you remember the name from a research shortlist and want to know what that class of tool costs. Both answers run through Brandwatch, and both come back to the same fact: there is no list price, only a quote.

How much does Crimson Hexagon cost?
Crimson Hexagon has no current price, because it no longer sells under its own name. Its site redirects to Brandwatch, which quotes every customer individually. The best public benchmark is Vendr's record of 40 Brandwatch purchases: a median of $50,000 a year, with most deals between $19,542 and $81,200.
The $1,500 a month figure on older listings describes the pre-merger company and cannot be checked against any live price page.
What happened to Crimson Hexagon?
Crimson Hexagon merged with Brandwatch. The two companies announced a stock-for-stock merger of equals on October 4, 2018, and the combined business kept the Brandwatch name. Brandwatch then merged the two products into Consumer Research, and Cision bought Brandwatch in 2021.
Today crimsonhexagon.com and every page under it redirect to the Brandwatch homepage.
Is Crimson Hexagon still available?
Not as a separate product. The technology lives on inside Brandwatch Consumer Research, which Brandwatch lists under Consumer Intelligence on its plans page. If you want what Crimson Hexagon did, you buy Brandwatch, on a quote, after a demo.
Is Brandwatch the same as Crimson Hexagon?
They are the same company now, but not the same original product. Brandwatch and Crimson Hexagon were rivals until the 2018 merger, then Brandwatch combined Crimson Hexagon's AI and historical data with its own interface to build Consumer Research. When people compare Brandwatch vs Crimson Hexagon today, they are comparing a current platform with its own predecessor.
What is a good Crimson Hexagon alternative?
It depends on the job. For deep consumer research with years of history, the realistic alternatives are Brandwatch itself, Talkwalker and Meltwater, all sold on quotes.
If the job is hearing about brand mentions quickly, reading sentiment and getting an alert when volume spikes, a self-serve tool on a published monthly price fits better. EyeOut starts at $59 a month billed yearly and bills monthly if you prefer.
Does Brandwatch offer a free trial?
No. Brandwatch's plans page and its solution pages route every visitor to a demo request form, and none of them offers a free trial or a self-serve signup. Budget a sales cycle of several weeks, since the demo, scoping call and quote come before any access.
What should I ask before renewing a Brandwatch contract that started as Crimson Hexagon?
Ask for the quote itemized by module and user count, since Brandwatch sells several solutions and a renewal often grows to include more than you use. Then ask how much historical data is included, what the query and mention limits are, what the renewal notice period is and whether the price increase is capped. Vendr's data shows buyers save 15.29% on average against the first quote, so negotiate.
