TV Eyes cost: TVEyes pricing, plans and alternatives
The short answer
TVEyes does not publish a price. Its free trial page says pricing is based on your media monitoring needs, such as the number of users, the regions covered and the data volume, and asks you to contact the team for a tailored quote. What you pay for is broadcast: TV and radio across 60+ countries and 43 languages, 70,000+ podcasts and Nielsen audience data. If you only need online news and social mentions, a self-serve monitoring tool costs far less.
The first page of results for TVEyes pricing is directories: TrustRadius, G2, Capterra, GetApp, SaaSworthy, Software Advice. They agree there is no public price and stop there. None of them names the three factors TVEyes itself says drive the quote, none mentions that Meltwater replaced TVEyes as its broadcast partner in November 2024, and none separates the broadcast work you cannot buy cheaply from the online monitoring you can.

Why it works
Three things to know before you budget for TVEyes
The quote is built on three inputs
TVEyes names them on its own free trial page: the number of users, the regions covered and the data volume. There are no tier names and no seat price. A single U.S. market for one comms lead and a multi-country license for a PR agency are different products at different prices.
There is a free trial
Unlike most broadcast vendors, TVEyes offers a free trial. Its trial page lists custom Watch Terms, global coverage, audience demographics for broadcast and podcasts, podcast host contact info, on-demand reporting, ad filtering and U.S. streaming channels. It does not print the trial length.
Broadcast is what you are paying for
TVEyes was founded in 1999 as a broadcast search engine and still sells TV and radio first: over 2 million hours of broadcast a month, near real-time alerts, unlimited clip downloads and Nielsen-powered viewership. Online news and social mentions are sold by many vendors on a published monthly price.
What it handles
Watched, read and flagged in real time
EyeOut watches every channel for your brand, scores each mention for sentiment and emotion, rolls it up into share of voice and a daily digest, and alerts you the second a real spike begins.
- A published price at every tier: $59, $149 and $399 a month billed yearly, with no quote to request and no sales call
- Monthly billing on every plan ($79, $189 and $499), so there is no annual contract to sign before you know it works
- Real-time collection on every plan, with a crisis radar that grades a spike against each source baseline from Growth
- Web, news, X, Reddit, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and review sites in one feed
- AI sentiment and theme on every mention, share of voice against named competitors from Growth
- Seats included in the plan price: 1 on Starter, 3 on Growth, 10 on Pro

How TVEyes is sold, what it covers, and why the directories get it wrong
TVEyes' home, free trial, broadcast monitoring, podcast, API and company pages were read directly in September 2026, along with a Meltwater employee's answer on Meltwater's own community forum and Vendr's TVEyes page. Where no price is published, this page says so.
TVEyes is one of the older names in broadcast monitoring, and it is sold the way broadcast usually is: by quote. The useful thing its site does tell you is how the quote is built, so you can shape the request before the call. Everything below comes from TVEyes' own pages unless it says otherwise. The short version: if TV, radio or podcast coverage is how your organization gets judged, TVEyes is priced for a real capability and it lets you trial it first. If your coverage lives online, you would be paying a broadcast quote for work a self-serve tool does by the month.

How much does TVEyes cost?
TVEyes does not publish a cost. It builds a tailored quote from three inputs it names itself: the number of users, the regions covered and the data volume. One user watching U.S. markets and an agency licensing several countries will get very different numbers.
There is no reliable public benchmark either. Vendr's TVEyes page rests on a single purchase, which describes one buyer rather than the market, so treat any figure you read online as a guess.
Does TVEyes have a free trial?
Yes. TVEyes offers a free trial with what it calls complete access: broadcast, podcast and online video monitoring, analytics and reporting, and custom Watch Term alerts. The page does not state the trial length.
Use the trial on coverage you already know aired. Pick two or three segments from last month, including one from a smaller market, and time how fast the search finds them.
Is TVEyes part of Meltwater?
No. TVEyes is its own company, founded in 1999 by David Ives and based in Fairfield, Connecticut. It used to supply broadcast and podcast monitoring to Meltwater as a partner.
That partnership ended: a Meltwater employee confirmed on Meltwater's community forum that Meltwater moved to Kinetiq as its broadcast partner on November 15, 2024, and that older TVEyes clips stay visible in reports but can no longer be opened.
What is a good TVEyes alternative?
It depends which job you are replacing. For broadcast TV and radio, the realistic alternatives are Critical Mention (an Onclusive company), Meltwater and Cision, all sold on quotes.
If the job is brand monitoring across the web, news and social, with sentiment and alerts, a self-serve tool with a published monthly price fits better. EyeOut starts at $59 a month billed yearly and bills monthly if you prefer.
Is TVEyes worth it if I do not need TV and radio?
Usually not. TV and radio search, Nielsen audience data, ad filtering and a two-decade broadcast archive are the parts few vendors match, and they are what the quote pays for.
If your coverage is online articles, blogs, Reddit threads and social posts, those are sold by many monitoring tools on a published monthly price, with no quote and no broadcast license.
Does TVEyes offer an API?
Yes. The TVEyes API covers broadcast TV, radio, podcasts and live streams, near real-time and historical, plus ad detection across U.S., Canada and UK television and high-volume transcript feeds. Access is requested through a form or an integration specialist, and no API price is published.
What should I ask before signing a TVEyes contract?
Ask for the quote itemized by users, regions and data volume, since those are the three inputs TVEyes says it prices on. Then ask which markets are included by name, how long clips and transcripts are retained, whether Archive+ and the API are extra, and what the renewal notice period and renewal price cap are.
