Listening & monitoring · NetBase Quid pricing
NetBase Quid pricing and Quid annual cost for social listening
The short answer
NetBase Quid does not publish a price. The company now trades simply as Quid, quid.com/pricing returns a 404, and every route on the site ends in a demo request, a contact form or a trial application. The only public figure is a directory listing (GetApp and Capterra) that starts Quid at about $23,000 a year, and review sites report a required setup fee on top. You pay mainly for licensed social data at scale, 20 years of NLP models and an AI agent library built for insights teams. If you only need to hear when news, Reddit and forums mention your brand, a self-serve monitoring tool with a published monthly price does that for a small fraction of the cost.
Search for NetBase Quid pricing and page one is software directories and a rival's comparison post. They agree on one thing, that the vendor publishes no rates, and most of them still describe the product under its old name. None of them says that netbasequid.com now redirects to quid.com, that the product is sold as a set of logins (Quid Terminal, Quid Discover, Quid Monitor) plus an AI agent library, or that the only self-serve way in is a 10-business-day trial for qualified business users.
That matters for your budget because Quid is two different purchases wearing one name. A consumer insights or strategy team that needs licensed TikTok and Reddit data, theme clustering and market research across patents, news and company filings is buying something few vendors sell. A marketing or comms team that wants a daily read on brand mentions and a spike alert is buying something it can get on a published price, with no sales cycle and no setup fee.

Why it works
Three things to know before you budget for NetBase Quid
It is sold as Quid now
netbasequid.com redirects to quid.com, and the site calls the company Quid (formerly NetBase). The two businesses merged in January 2020. Customers sign in to Quid Terminal, Quid Discover or Quid Monitor, and the newer Q Platform and Q Agents sit on top. Expect the quote, the contract and the renewal to use the Quid name.
There is no pricing page
quid.com/pricing returns a 404. Every call to action is Contact Us, a demo request or Request Your Free Trial. No tier names, seat prices or mention caps are published. GetApp and Capterra list a starting price of about $23,000 a year, and TrustRadius reports a required entry setup fee and no free version.
Licensed data is what drives the bill
Quid says it ingests more than 2 petabytes of data through direct partnerships with social, news, broadcast, search, patent and investment sources, with licensed coverage of TikTok, Reddit, X, Instagram, YouTube and five more platforms. Licensed social firehoses and research datasets are the expensive part of any listening contract, and they are why the entry figure is five digits.
What it handles
Watched, read and flagged twice an hour
EyeOut watches Google News, Reddit, Mastodon, Hacker News, Lemmy and podcasts for your brand, scores each mention for sentiment, rolls it up into a daily digest and share of voice, and alerts you when a real spike begins.
- A published price at every tier: $39, $94, $249 and $499 a month billed yearly, with no demo call and no setup fee before you can see a number
- Monthly billing on every plan ($79, $189, $499 and $998), so there is no annual contract to sign before you know it works
- Google News, Reddit, Mastodon, Hacker News, Lemmy and Apple Podcasts collected every 30 minutes on every plan
- Crisis radar from Growth that flags a keyword when its mention volume or tone breaks from its own baseline
- AI sentiment and theme on every mention, share of voice against named competitors from Growth
- Seats included in the plan price: 1 on Starter, 3 on Growth, 10 on Pro and 25 on Enterprise, with API access from Pro

Reads it for you
Sentiment, emotion, theme clustering and a plain-English daily digest, so you act on the story instead of scrolling a firehose.

How Quid is sold, what a contract covers, and what the public figures can and cannot tell you
Quid's homepage, About page, social listening and brand monitoring pages, data sources page, Q Agents page and trial request page were read in October 2026. Where Quid publishes no price, this page says so and labels every outside figure with its source.
Quid is the result of two companies. NetBase built social listening on natural language processing from the late 2000s, and Quid built AI that maps markets and narratives from news, patents and company data. They merged in January 2020, sold for a while as NetBase Quid, and now present as one brand on quid.com. The founder of the original Quid, Bob Goodson, is President of the combined company.
The product line reflects that history. Quid Terminal is the newer workspace where AI briefs and Q Agents land. Quid Discover and Quid Monitor are the established logins for research and listening. Quid positions all of it as consumer and market intelligence for insights, marketing, communications, customer experience and data science teams, with industry pages for consumer goods, retail, pharma, financial services, media, travel and agencies.
None of it has a price on the site. That is normal at this end of the market (Brandwatch, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Sprinklr do the same), so the useful question is which parts of Quid your team would actually use, and whether any of them is available for less on a published plan.
NetBase Quid pricing in listings against what Quid shows today
| What listings say | What is true today | |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Usually NetBase or NetBase Quid | Quid. netbasequid.com redirects to quid.com, which calls the company Quid (formerly NetBase) |
| Published price | GetApp and Capterra: from about $23,000 per year | None. quid.com/pricing returns a 404 and every route is Contact Us, a demo or a trial request |
| Setup fee | TrustRadius: an entry-level setup fee is required | Not mentioned on Quid's site; ask for it to be itemized or waived |
| Free trial | Often listed as not available | Yes, limited access to Quid Terminal for 10 business days, for qualified business users who have not had a trial before |
| Purchase benchmark | Not covered | No public contract data. Vendr has no Quid or NetBase buyer guide |
What a Quid contract can include, from Quid's own pages
| Capability | What Quid says it does | Can you buy it elsewhere on a published price? |
|---|---|---|
| Licensed social data | Licensed coverage of TikTok, Reddit, X, Instagram, YouTube and five more platforms, with history and live capture in one query | Partly. Reddit and news are common; licensed TikTok and X history is rare and expensive |
| Theme clustering | Clusters posts into named themes and shows the audiences, creators and subreddits carrying each one | Partly. AI themes per mention are spreading across monitoring tools |
| Brand monitoring | Spikes in volume and sentiment across social, forums and news, competitor benchmarking and share of voice | Yes. This is the core of most self-serve monitoring tools |
| Market intelligence | News, patents, startup activity, company disclosures and business data for market and technology research | Rarely. This is the part closest to a research database |
| Q Agents | A library of pre-built agentic AI workflows that send briefs to the Terminal and your inbox, on demand or on a trigger | Partly. Scheduled AI digests exist elsewhere, agent libraries mostly do not |
| Data scale | More than 2 petabytes of datasets active for customers, 20 years of NLP and sentiment methodology | No. Scale at this level is what the five-figure quote pays for |

How much does NetBase Quid cost?
NetBase Quid does not publish a cost. quid.com/pricing returns a 404, so the number comes from a sales quote built on the data sources, seats, history and AI modules you take.
The public reference point is the directory listing on GetApp and Capterra, which starts Quid at about $23,000 a year, and TrustRadius reports an entry setup fee on top. Treat both as a floor for budgeting, not as a quote.
Is NetBase Quid the same as Quid?
Yes. NetBase and Quid merged in January 2020 and sold for several years as NetBase Quid. Today netbasequid.com redirects to quid.com, and Quid's own About page describes the company as Quid (formerly NetBase).
Customers log in to Quid Terminal, Quid Discover or Quid Monitor depending on the product they bought.
Does NetBase Quid have a free trial?
Yes, with conditions. Quid offers limited access to Quid Terminal for 10 business days to qualified, eligible business users who have not received a trial before. The homepage describes it as a 2-week trial with a select library of AI agents and the full trend leaderboards for key industries.
It is an application, not an instant signup, and it covers the Terminal rather than the full listening contract.
Does NetBase Quid charge a setup fee?
TrustRadius reports that a setup fee is required at entry level and that premium consulting services are optional. Quid's own site does not mention fees either way.
Ask for the setup fee as a separate line in the quote and ask whether it is waived on a multi-year term, since onboarding fees are often the easiest item to negotiate.
Who uses NetBase Quid?
Quid sells mainly to large consumer brands, CPG and retail companies, pharma, financial services, media and agencies. Its pages are written for consumer insights, strategy, marketing, communications and data science teams.
It suits research questions such as why a category is moving or which theme is about to grow. It is heavier and more expensive than a team needs for day-to-day brand mention alerts.
What is a good NetBase Quid alternative?
It depends on the job. For enterprise consumer research on licensed social data, the realistic alternatives are Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater and Sprinklr, all quote only.
For brand monitoring across news, Reddit, forums and podcasts with sentiment, share of voice and spike alerts, a published-price tool is a closer fit. EyeOut starts at $39 a month billed yearly, bills monthly if you prefer, and puts its crisis radar on Growth at $94.
What should I ask before signing a NetBase Quid contract?
Ask for the quote itemized by product (Terminal, Discover, Monitor, Q Agents), by seat and by data source, so you can see what licensed TikTok, X and broadcast data add. Ask how much history is included and how many searches or topics you can run.
Then ask about the setup fee, the term, the renewal notice period and whether the price is protected at renewal.
