Listening & monitoring · Mention vs Awario
Mention vs Awario pricing, Awario vs Mention features and which to buy
The short answer
Mention now sells one plan to new customers, the Company plan, which its own help center prices from $599 a month on an annual contract with 5 alerts, 50,000 mentions and unlimited users; historical data and the API are paid add-ons. Awario publishes three plans in euros: Starter at EUR 29, Pro at EUR 89 and Enterprise at EUR 249 a month billed annually, with CSV export from Pro and the API and white-label reports on Enterprise only. Buy Mention for social network and review-site coverage with a whole team logged in, Awario for cheap topic-based monitoring, and neither when you need fast alerts on news, Reddit and forums at a US-dollar price.
Mention and Awario used to be the two obvious cheap answers to Brand24, and most comparison pages still describe them that way. That picture is out of date. Mention withdrew its Solo, Pro and Pro Plus plans in July 2025 and now sells a single Company plan with a $599 a month floor, while Awario still publishes a self-serve ladder that starts at EUR 29. The two products now sit roughly twenty times apart at entry.
The pages that rank for this comparison are mostly directory listings, and several get basic facts wrong, including one that puts Awario's white-label reports on the EUR 29 plan. This page reads both vendors' own pages instead. Awario's pricing page was parsed from raw HTML on October 7, 2026, so every included and excluded feature below is the vendor's own marking. Mention's pricing page was read the same day; its price comes from Mention's support documentation, because the page itself renders no figure.

Why it works
Three things that decide this comparison
A twentyfold gap at entry
Mention starts at $599 a month on an annual contract, which is $7,188 a year. Awario Starter is EUR 29 a month billed annually, about EUR 348 a year. Even Awario Enterprise at EUR 249 a month is well under half of Mention's floor.
Topics against alerts
Awario sells topics: 3, 15 or 100, each holding unlimited keywords, with 30,000 to 1,000,000 new mentions a month. Mention's Company plan starts with 5 alerts and 50,000 mentions, and more alerts are quoted by sales.
Different coverage strengths
Mention's page lists Facebook, Instagram, X, Reddit, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube plus 75+ review sites, including Google, Trustpilot, Amazon and Glassdoor. Awario publishes no refresh interval and replaces the oldest stored mentions once a topic hits its cap.

Mention vs Awario on price, limits, add-ons and coverage
Awario was parsed from awario.com/pricing and Mention read from mention.com/en/pricing on October 7, 2026. Mention's $599 figure and plan limits come from Mention's own support documentation, read September 4, 2026. Awario prices are in euros, as Awario publishes them. Nothing on this page is estimated.
Start with Awario, because its page is the more complete of the two. Every plan is bought online. Starter is EUR 29 a month billed annually or EUR 49 month to month, with 3 topics, unlimited keywords per topic, 30,000 new mentions a month, 5,000 stored mentions per topic and one team member. Pro is EUR 89 or EUR 149, with 15 topics, 300,000 mentions, 15,000 stored per topic and 10 members. Enterprise is EUR 249 or EUR 399, with 100 topics, 1,000,000 mentions, 50,000 stored per topic and unlimited members. Boolean search is on every plan. CSV export and PDF reports start on Pro. White-label reports, the API and an account manager are Enterprise only.
Two details on Awario's FAQ matter more than they look. When a topic reaches its stored-mention cap, Awario replaces the oldest mentions with new ones, so the history you can scroll back through is a rolling window, not an archive. And Awario publishes no refresh interval on any plan, so ask how quickly a new mention appears if speed is part of the job.
Mention is the opposite shape. Its pricing page, titled Enterprise-Grade Social Intelligence for Your Business, shows one Company plan with a currency switch and a note that yearly billing gets two months free, but the price field renders empty and every button asks for a demo. Mention's support documentation fills the gap: the Company plan starts at $599 a month on an annual contract, with 5 alerts, 50,000 mentions a month and unlimited users. The pricing page lists social coverage across Facebook, Instagram, X, Reddit, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube, news, blogs and forums, and 75+ review sites, plus sentiment, share of voice, competitor benchmarking, white-label reporting options, Slack and Zapier, and a dedicated account manager. Historical data and API access are both marked as paid add-ons.
Ownership matters here too. Agorapulse acquired Mention in 2025, and Mention's own FAQ now says its Publish and Respond features are being deprecated and points customers to Agorapulse for publishing.

Is Awario better than Mention?
On price and topic count, yes. Awario Pro gives 15 topics with unlimited keywords and 300,000 mentions a month for EUR 89 billed annually, while Mention's Company plan starts at $599 a month for 5 alerts and 50,000 mentions.
On coverage and team access, Mention leads. Its pricing page names Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and 75+ review sites, and the Company plan includes unlimited users. Pick by which of those two gaps hurts more.
How much does Mention cost?
Mention's support documentation states that the Company plan starts at $599 a month on an annual contract, which is $7,188 a year. The pricing page itself renders no number and routes every visitor to a demo.
That plan includes 5 alerts, 50,000 mentions a month and unlimited users. More alerts are quoted by sales, and historical data and the API are listed as paid add-ons, so the real contract can run above the floor.
How much does Awario cost?
Awario publishes three plans in euros. Starter is EUR 29 a month billed annually or EUR 49 month to month, Pro is EUR 89 or EUR 149, and Enterprise is EUR 249 or EUR 399, with a custom plan above that.
US buyers are billed in euros, so the dollar cost moves with the exchange rate and a card may add a foreign transaction fee. Check that before you compare it line for line with a dollar price.
Does Mention still have a cheaper plan?
Not for new customers. Mention withdrew its Solo, Pro and Pro Plus plans in July 2025, and the pricing page now shows only the Company plan.
Any comparison quoting a Mention plan below $599 a month is describing plans that can no longer be bought. If you need a self-serve monitoring plan under $100 a month, look at Awario Starter, Mentionlytics Basic or EyeOut Starter instead.
Does Awario have an API?
Only on Enterprise, at EUR 249 a month billed annually. Awario's own pricing table marks the API as excluded on Starter and Pro, along with white-label reports and the account manager.
Mention lists its API as a paid add-on to the Company plan rather than an included feature. EyeOut includes API access from Pro at $249 a month billed yearly.
Who owns Mention now?
Agorapulse acquired Mention in 2025. Mention still sells its listening product under its own name, but its FAQ now says the Publish and Respond features are being deprecated and recommends Agorapulse for publishing and replying.
For a buyer, that means Mention is now the listening half of a two-product stack. Awario has no comparable parent and remains independent.
