Emplifi Pricing 2026: Why the Real Entry Price Is $1,249, Not $199
Emplifi pricing read from its own page in September 2026: Social Marketing Essential from $1,249 a month and Advanced from $2,499, the only two figures Emplifi publishes. Why every review directory still quotes $199 per user from the Socialbakers era, which tier the Listening module actually sits on, and the Social Care tier Emplifi marks as coming in 2026.

Short answer: Emplifi pricing starts at $1,249 a month for the Essential tier of its Social Marketing package and $2,499 a month for Advanced, which the page badges as best value. Those are the only two figures Emplifi publishes. The top Social Marketing tier, called Intelligent, and all three Social Care and Social Commerce tiers are custom quote. Almost every pricing roundup still quotes Emplifi at "$199 per user per month" or "from $124", and those numbers are inherited from Socialbakers listings that predate the 2021 rebrand. Emplifi's own pricing page opens by saying it does not sell seats at all.
Every figure below was read from emplifi.io/pricing on September 17, 2026, and the company history from emplifi.io/company on the same day. Where Emplifi publishes no number, this page says so instead of estimating one.

Two dollar figures on an entire pricing page, both on one package, is the shape of a vendor that publishes just enough to filter out small buyers. It works: $1,249 a month is $14,988 a year before anyone has discussed a contract, and that is the floor, not the average.
Why almost every roundup quotes $199, and why it is wrong
Search for Emplifi pricing and the first page fills with review directories quoting $199 per user per month, $124 a month, or "$800 to $1,000 a month for ten users". Those figures share one origin. Emplifi was formed in 2021 when Astute, a customer engagement company launched in Columbus, Ohio in 1995, merged with Socialbakers, the Prague social analytics firm founded in 2008, after Astute had acquired iPerceptions the year before. The combined company rebranded as Emplifi.
The directories never started fresh listings. Capterra's Emplifi page still sits at a URL ending in Socialbakers-Analytics-Plus, and you can check that in your own browser in about five seconds. The per-seat prices on those pages are Socialbakers-era numbers carried forward through a rebrand, a repackaging and at least one pricing model change.
How wrong they are is easy to measure, because Emplifi contradicts them in its own headline. The pricing page opens: "Stop paying for logins. Our pricing scales with your business outcomes, not your seat count." A vendor that has explicitly stopped selling seats cannot have a per-seat price, and its published floor is roughly six times the $199 the aggregators print. If you have been building a budget from a comparison site, rebuild it.
What each Social Marketing tier actually includes
Essential, from $1,249 a month
Essential is the channel-consolidation plan. Emplifi describes it as managing all social channels from one platform, publishing and responding with an AI co-pilot, maintaining brand consistency across touchpoints, and tracking performance with reports. The intended buyer is a team that currently has three logins and wants one. Notably, nothing in the Essential description mentions listening, competitor intelligence or audience analysis.
Advanced, from $2,499 a month
Advanced is badged Best Value and aimed at mid-sized teams focused on collaboration. It adds team workflows and brand controls, an AI Reply Assistant, AI Image Scoring, an AI ReportBuilder, performance prediction, and the first mention of audience and competitor insights "from one clear view". This is the cheapest published tier where anything resembling competitive intelligence appears, and it is double the Essential price.
Intelligent, custom quote
Intelligent is where the listening product actually lives. Its bullets name advanced analytics, API access, AI-driven performance prediction, AI Composer with brand voice, AI Object Detection, enterprise governance and unlimited team controls, AI Data Summarization, predictive analytics, and an AI Query Copilot to "simplify Listening insights". There is no price. If social listening is the reason Emplifi is on your shortlist, you are shopping in the tier that has no published number, above a $2,499 a month plan.
The detail most Emplifi reviews miss: part of Social Care is not built yet
Emplifi lists Listening as one of eleven product modules, alongside Unified Analytics, Publisher, Community, Influencers, UGC, Care, Chatbot, Ratings and Reviews, Live Advisor and Agent. The Social Care package is sold in the same three tiers as Social Marketing, and all three are custom quote. But the top one, Intelligent, does not say "custom quote" at all. It says "Preview: Coming in 2026", and every single feature bullet underneath it is prefixed with the word Roadmap in square brackets.
Read the roadmap list, because one line matters for anyone buying monitoring: "[Roadmap] Get proactive crisis alerts by monitoring sentiment spikes across all data streams." Crisis alerting driven by sentiment spikes is, for a lot of brand teams, the entire reason they shop this category. On Emplifi's Care side it is a stated future capability, not a purchasable one, and the page is honest enough to label it that way. Credit where it is due for the labelling. Just do not let a demo leave you with the impression that it ships today.
What Emplifi does not publish
Four things a buyer normally wants are missing from the pricing page.
What the meter is. Emplifi says pricing scales with business outcomes rather than seats, but never says which unit it does scale with. Channels? Mentions? Revenue? Managed profiles? "Starting at $1,249" with no stated variable means the quote can land anywhere above it, and you cannot model your own cost before a sales call.
Contract length and billing terms. The page carries no mention of monthly versus annual billing, no minimum term and no cancellation terms. At this price point assume annual and assume it is negotiable.
A trial. Every button on the page reads Book a meeting, Get started or Get a quote. No free trial is offered on the pricing page, and there is no free plan.
Refresh interval. Nothing anywhere states how often the Listening module collects mentions. That is the single most useful number for monitoring buyers and the one this market almost never prints, which is why our social listening pricing comparison tracks it as its own column across every vendor that does publish it.
One thing Emplifi does state clearly: it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Social Media Management and Listening, and it claims 20,000 brands use the platform. Those are vendor figures, quoted here as such.
Where a $1,249 floor puts Emplifi in the market
| Platform | Published entry price | Seats | Listening at entry? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emplifi Social Marketing | From $1,249/mo | Not metered by seat | No, Listening copilot is on the quote-only tier |
| Sprout Social | $199/mo Standard | Per seat | No, listening is an unpriced add-on |
| Hootsuite | $99/mo Standard | Per seat | Quick Search only, alerts are Enterprise |
| Brand24 | $199/mo Individual | 1 user | Yes, 3 keywords, refreshed every 12 hours |
| Brandwatch | No published price | By contract | By contract, $50,000/yr median across 40 Vendr purchases |
| EyeOut | $59/mo | Included | Yes, real time on every plan |
Emplifi sits in an unusual spot: far above the self-serve monitoring tools, below the fully quote-only enterprise platforms, and publishing a number where Brandwatch, Meltwater and Sprinklr publish nothing. That transparency is worth something. It also makes the comparison honest in a way buyers may not enjoy, because $14,988 a year buys a publishing and engagement suite whose listening intelligence sits one unpriced tier higher.
The fair way to read that is by job. Emplifi is a social media management platform that also listens. If your team publishes, schedules, replies to comments and runs UGC campaigns, you are buying a suite and the price is defensible. If what you need is publishing muscle rather than a monitoring platform, that is a different product entirely, and a tool that will turn one post into every channel costs a fraction of a suite licence. And if the job is knowing quickly when written mentions of your brand change, you are buying alerting and coverage, which is the cheapest thing in this market and the thing the suites price last.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Emplifi cost?
Emplifi costs from $1,249 a month for Social Marketing Essential and from $2,499 a month for Social Marketing Advanced, which works out to $14,988 and $29,988 a year at the published floor. Every other tier, including all of Social Care and Social Commerce and the top Social Marketing tier, is quoted individually. Those two figures are the only prices Emplifi publishes.
Does Emplifi charge per user?
No. Emplifi's pricing page states plainly that its pricing scales with business outcomes rather than seat count, under the heading "Stop paying for logins". The per-user figures on review directories, commonly $199 per user per month, are legacy Socialbakers-era numbers and do not describe how Emplifi sells today.
Is Emplifi the same as Socialbakers?
Emplifi is the company Socialbakers became. Astute, founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1995, acquired iPerceptions in 2020 and then combined with Socialbakers, founded in Prague in 2008, and the merged business rebranded as Emplifi in 2021. Socialbakers itself had acquired the social analytics firm EdgeRank in 2014. Several review sites still host the Emplifi listing on its original Socialbakers URL.
Does Emplifi have a free trial?
Not on the pricing page. Every call to action reads Book a meeting, Get started or Get a quote, and no trial length, trial tier or credit-card-free signup is described anywhere on it. There is no free plan either. Treat Emplifi as a demo-led purchase and ask for a sandbox during the sales process if you need to test before committing.
Does Emplifi include social listening?
Listening is one of Emplifi's eleven product modules, but it is not described in the Essential tier at $1,249 a month. Audience and competitor insights first appear on Advanced at $2,499, and the AI Query Copilot that makes listening data easy to interrogate is listed only on Intelligent, which has no published price. Get the tier that contains listening named explicitly on your quote.
What are the main Emplifi alternatives?
For the full publishing-plus-listening suite, Sprout Social from $199 a seat and Hootsuite from $99 a seat are the usual comparisons, with Brandwatch and Sprinklr above on quote-only contracts. For monitoring alone, Brand24 at $199, Awario at EUR 29 and EyeOut at $59 cover mentions without the publishing stack. Which shortlist is right depends on whether you are replacing a publishing workflow or buying an early-warning system.
Is Emplifi worth $1,249 a month?
For a brand running paid social, organic publishing, community management and customer care through one team, consolidating four tools into one contract at $14,988 a year is a reasonable trade, and Emplifi's Gartner Leader placement reflects real product depth. For a marketing or communications team whose actual need is to hear about mentions fast, it is a large budget line for a capability that sits above the published tiers. Price the tier containing the feature you came for, not the entry price.
How to decide
Ask Emplifi three questions before the second call. What is the variable that moves the price above $1,249, in writing. Which named tier includes the Listening module and the AI Query Copilot, and what does that tier cost. And which Social Care features on the quote are live today rather than on the roadmap, since Emplifi's own page marks the top Care tier as coming in 2026. Get all three in the proposal, not the demo.
If the answers point at a five-figure annual contract for a suite whose monitoring sits at the top, it is worth checking what the monitoring job costs on its own. EyeOut watches web, news, X, Reddit, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, forums, podcasts and review sites in real time on every plan, scores each mention for sentiment, emotion and theme, and runs a crisis radar that baselines each source separately so an alert means something abnormal rather than merely busy. It publishes $59, $149 and $399 a month with seats included, and it does not publish posts, run UGC campaigns or manage a service inbox. Add your brand and it starts watching the same afternoon.
