BrandMentions Pricing 2026: All Four Plans Compared

BrandMentions publishes four plans and two different ladders depending on the billing toggle, and pricing directories currently disagree with all of them because the prices are rendered in JavaScript. Here is the verified September 2026 pricing, plus the detail that decides most purchases: the $79 plan only collects once a day.

Short answer: BrandMentions publishes four plans and shows two different ladders depending on the billing toggle. Billed annually they are Starter $79 a month, Pro $249, Expert $399 and Enterprise from $1,099. On the shorter commitment they are Starter $99 billed quarterly, Pro $299, Expert $499 and Enterprise from $1,299 billed monthly. The number that decides most purchases is not the price but the collection speed: Starter updates daily, Pro updates hourly, and real-time collection does not arrive until Expert at $399.

Why third-party pricing sites disagree about BrandMentions

If you searched this before landing here, you probably saw three or four incompatible answers. Pricing directories currently publish a retired New Business, Growing Business and Company ladder, an $89 entry price that appears nowhere on the vendor's site, and several ranges that quote the annual figure at one end and the monthly figure at the other without saying which is which.

The cause is mechanical rather than dishonest. BrandMentions renders its prices in JavaScript, so a scraper that reads the raw HTML gets an empty price card and falls back to whatever it captured years ago. That is worth knowing beyond this one vendor: in this category, any directory figure older than a few months should be treated as a lead, not a fact. We hit the same problem when verifying Mentionlytics pricing, where five major review sites were all still publishing a ladder the vendor had cut months earlier.

The daily update on the $79 plan is the real constraint

Read the Starter card carefully and it says Daily Updates. For $79 a month you get 5 keywords, 5,000 mentions, one seat, and a system that checks once a day. If someone posts a complaint that starts spreading at 9am, BrandMentions on Starter may not surface it until the next morning.

That matters because the entire argument for buying a monitoring tool is early warning. A complaint you see in four minutes is a reply. The same complaint seen tomorrow is a screenshot other people have already shared. Pro at $249 tightens the loop to hourly, which is workable for most brands. Real-time collection starts at Expert, $399 a month billed annually or $499 monthly.

BrandMentions is not unusual here, which is the more useful point. Most of this category prices speed as an upgrade, and the upgrade tends to land near the same number. Brand24 reaches real time at $399. BrandMentions reaches real time at $399. If you are choosing on alert speed rather than feature count, budget for that tier from the start or pick a vendor that does not meter it. We broke the full ladder down in how to set up real-time brand mention alerts.

What each BrandMentions tier actually adds

The plan cards ladder on four axes at once, and only one of them is the price.

  • Starter, $79. 5 keywords, 5,000 mentions, 1 user, daily updates, AI sentiment. One seat means no one else on your team can log in.
  • Pro, $249. 20 keywords, 30,000 mentions, 2 users, hourly updates, multilingual AI sentiment, standard reports and the AI assistant.
  • Expert, $399. 50 keywords, 75,000 mentions, 10 users, real-time updates, 100 percent white-label reports, AI Brand Assistant, Strategic AI Insights and Boolean search.
  • Enterprise, from $1,099. Custom limits, app white-label, API and Boolean search, full historical data, and a dedicated success manager.

Two of those deserve a flag before you buy. The API is Enterprise-only. Boolean search arrives a tier earlier on Expert, but if you want mentions and sentiment scores flowing into your warehouse, your Slack workflow or your own product, the entry point is $1,099 a month. And white-label reporting is an Expert feature, which is the tier most agencies actually need, not the $79 one they price against.

The seat count is the other quiet cost. One user on Starter and two on Pro means a three-person marketing team is on Expert at $399 for headcount reasons alone, regardless of how many mentions it tracks.

How BrandMentions compares on entry price

ToolEntry list priceWhat the entry plan includesStated update frequency
BrandMentions Starter$79/mo billed annually5 keywords, 5,000 mentions, 1 userDaily
Mentionlytics Basic$49/mo billed yearly (against a $58 list)3 keyword rules, 5,000 mentions, 2 usersEvery 12 hours
Awario StarterEUR 29/mo billed annually3 topics, 30,000 mentions, 1 team memberNot published
Brand24 Individual$199/mo billed annually3 keywords, 2,000 mentionsEvery 12 hours
Determ FocusEUR 99/mo1 topic, 1,000 mentions, unlimited usersReal time, stated on every tier
YouScan Starter 3$499/mo billed annually3 topics, 15,000 mentions, unlimited usersNot published
EyeOut Starter$59/mo billed yearlySeats included, all sourcesReal time on every plan

Two things fall out of that table. BrandMentions is mid-priced at the entry tier rather than cheap, and the mention allowance at $79 is generous next to Brand24 but slower than almost everything around it. If you want the full category side by side, we keep a running social listening pricing comparison with every published list price in one place.

How much does BrandMentions cost?

BrandMentions costs $79 to $399 a month billed annually across its three self-serve plans, with Enterprise starting from $1,099 a month. On a shorter commitment the same plans are $99 billed quarterly, $299 and $499 billed monthly, and Enterprise from $1,299. There is a 7-day free trial.

Does BrandMentions have a free plan?

No. BrandMentions has no free tier. It offers a 7-day free trial with full access to the app and no long-term commitment, after which you choose one of the four paid plans. The cheapest ongoing option is Starter at $79 a month billed annually.

Does BrandMentions update in real time?

Only from the Expert plan at $399 a month. BrandMentions labels Starter as daily updates and Pro as hourly updates on its own plan cards, so real-time collection is a paid upgrade rather than a default. Enterprise also runs in real time. If minute-level alerting is why you are buying, price the Expert tier, not the entry one.

Does BrandMentions have an API?

Yes, but only on Enterprise, which starts at $1,099 a month billed annually. Boolean search arrives one tier earlier on Expert at $399. Teams that need mentions and sentiment scores in their own systems should confirm this before shortlisting, because it moves the real entry price by more than $700 a month.

Is BrandMentions worth it?

It earns its price for two specific buyers. The first is a team that wants deep historical backfill, since BrandMentions can reach back years and most self-serve rivals cannot. The second is an agency on Expert that needs 100 percent white-label reports and ten seats in one subscription, which is genuinely hard to match at $399.

It is a weaker fit if early warning is the job and the budget stops below $399, because that is where daily and hourly collection leave you. It is also a weaker fit for a small team that needs more than one login, since Starter is a single seat.

Which plan should you actually buy?

Work backwards from two questions rather than from the feature list. How fast do you need to know, and how many people need to log in?

If the honest answer is "within the day" and "one person", Starter at $79 is fine and you should ignore everything above it. If the answer is "within the hour" and "a couple of us", Pro at $249 is the plan. If it is "immediately", you are buying Expert at $399 whatever else you were comparing, and at that point it is worth checking whether you need the publishing and reporting weight you are paying for, or just the monitoring.

That last question is where a lot of budget goes missing in this category. Speed, seats and alerting get bundled into higher tiers of suites, so teams climb a ladder to unlock a notification. EyeOut is a BrandMentions alternative built the other way around: real-time collection on every plan from $59 a month billed yearly, seats included rather than metered, and crisis alerts graded against each source's own baseline instead of a flat threshold. It covers web, news, X, Reddit, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, forums, podcasts and review sites, and it does not do historical backfill, which is the honest tradeoff against BrandMentions.

One last budgeting note that applies whichever tool you pick. Finding 75,000 mentions a month is a collection problem, and it is the easy half. A meaningful share of what a monitoring tool surfaces is not reputation at all, it is customers asking presale questions in public, and those need an answer within minutes from someone who can actually help. Teams that hit that volume usually end up pairing monitoring with a way to answer inbound customer messages across every channel automatically, because a listening dashboard will tell you a question was asked and then sit there. Decide which of those two problems you are solving before you compare price cards, because they are different products and only one of them is priced per keyword. If reputation risk is the real driver, our crisis monitoring breakdown covers how alert grading should work.
